Derek Dufresne is an internationally published, award winning tattoo artist. He has tattooed all across Canada and the USA at numerous tattoo conventions and guest spots. Member of the National Tattoo Association.
Author of the book "Japanese Tattoo Designs". The book is line drawing tattoo reference of Japanese inspired designs. He has also releasing an instructional DVD of advanced tattoo techniques for professional tattoo artists titled “Dead Mans Ruin”. Featuring 2 tattoos start to finish. With a portion of the first 100 dvds donated to the BC Childrens Hospital.
He is the owner of Fleshworks Tattoo Studio in Victoria, BC, Canada since 1999. The studio has been awarded “Nicest Tattoo Studio” by the National Tattoo Association 2 years in a row. 2008 & 2009.
Numerous feature interviews/articles have been published on Derek and Fleshworks in almost every major international tattoo magazine, and has work published consistently monthly. (Canada, USA, UK, Germany, France, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, Australia, Italy, ...)As well as tv, and newspaper (both locally and internationally, articles and front page stories)
